When the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East visits Virginia International Raceway on April 30th, the familiar #31 Marsh Racing Whelen Chevrolet will have a new face, 2015 NASCAR Whelen Southern Modified Tour Rookie of the Year, Trey Hutchens.

“I can’t thank everyone at Marsh Racing enough for giving me this opportunity to drive their car. The #31 Whelen Chevrolet has a great pedigree and it is an honor to now become a part of it. Whelen Engineering is a huge supporter of grassroots racing and I can’t think of a better, American-made, company to represent.”

The upcoming NC State Freshman is looking forward to the weekend; although, he knows he faces an uphill battle.

“Unfortunately, I have never made a lap around a road course so my learning curve is going to pretty steep. Fortunately, I know the Marsh Racing team will have the Whelen/Boninfante Friction/ Scott Lewis Associates Inc. Chevrolet ready for me to where all I have to do is learn. I got the call to drive the car last week, since then I have tried to find every ounce of data that will expedite my learning curve when I get to the race track on Saturday.”

The “Biscuitville 125” will be the fifth race of the 2016 NASCAR K&N Pro Series East season and is slated to start at 3:45 p.m on Saturday.
